We have exciting news!

Over the past few months, we’ve been focused on enhancing AstroBrawl, especially its single-player experience.

As part of this, we’ve added a thrilling new game mode: Survival!

In Survival mode, your goal is to defeat wave after wave of enemies and try to reach the 100th round. Sounds easy? Think again. We’ve significantly improved the AI of the computer bots, making them more aggressive and harder to defeat. Plus, each wave is tougher than the last, so good luck reaching wave 100!

This is the farthest I’ve made it after MANY attempts. Think you can beat me?

But that’s not all! We’ve introduced new mechanics that enhance the experience across all game modes, making each match feel unique.

First up, you can now deflect incoming projectiles if you time the action button perfectly (parry mechanics!). It’s not as easy as it sounds, and it’s a high-risk move (miss your chance, and you’re done for!). But once you master it, the payoff is huge. Do you have what it takes to perfect this new skill?

Second, you can now stun your opponents with a dash attack, incapacitating them for a brief moment and giving you the upper hand. But beware—you can get stunned too!

Third, we’ve introduced a bunch of cool new power-ups:

Star Power: Makes you invulnerable and deadly to the touch for other players.

Invisibility Potion: Turns you invisible for a short period.

Multiplier: Lets you fire three projectiles at once.

POW block: Creates a powerful shockwave that stuns nearby players.

These new power-ups join the existing ones: rockets, force field, and speed potion. Pro tip: try combining them and discover some awesome effects!

Last but not least, we’ve made significant performance optimizations, fixed numerous bugs, and introduced major improvements to the GUI (you can now navigate the menus with just your joystick!).
